WFA 2015 Recap

1. Time is your most valuable asset.

During our presentation, The Afterglow Effect: Creating Customer Relationships that Last, we reviewed 5 things fairs can do post-event to help grow their databases and build momentum for the next year. Our main takeaway is that time and resources are valuable. So how do we remain efficient? Create a list of post-event tasks and get them done before the event even starts!

2. 5 Easy Steps to Great Online Advertising

We had a great time discussing the basics of online advertising and highlighting effective ways fairs can manage their digital ad spends to drive ROI. First things first: get your existing digital channels in line. Before you spend a dollar, make sure your website, email marketing, and social media are optimized for selling tickets. At the end of the day, it all comes down to measurement. We can’t say it enough, if you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it!

3. Do you know Paul?

Paul Laughter, one of Etix’s Directors of Sales, is kind of a big deal in the fair space. Taking a walk around the WFA Trade Show floor with Paul was enough to realize that he knows A LOT about fairs and ticketing. We had a blast spending time with Paul and some of our Etix fair clients, including Big Fresno Fair, Alameda County Fair, and Antelope Valley Fair during the convention!

4. You stay classy, Reno!

Located just outside of Lake Tahoe, our team enjoyed getting to know “The Biggest Little City in the World,” Reno, NV! From the beautiful mountain views to the happy hours and closing Industry Awards Dinner, this year’s #WFAElevate15 was a time to remember. We certainly can’t wait for the next one!
