EAMC 2014 Recap

EAMC2014This week we returned from our trip to New Orleans for the 2014 Event and Arena Marketing Conference, better known as #EAMC2014.

First, we’d like to give a huge shout-out to the EAMC team.

 

This growing conference truly presents a view into the future of our industry. The programming and activities were exceptional, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

 

 Top 5 Things We Learned at #EAMC2014:

 

1. EAMC = Energy. From Stephanie McMahon’s keynote to the final round table session, the discussions were interactive and lively. Even the meals were a terrific mix of discussion and presentation.

2. Email is back. From Kyle Lacy’s excellent presentation on technology trends to our own Rockhouse Partners round table on 10 Steps to Incredible Email Marketing, email is once again a focus…and delivering results.

3. Measurement is the next frontier. 50% of our advertising works, but we are all interested in better understanding which half is really working for us. We’d imagine that we’ll hear more at #EAMC2015 on this topic.

4. Best Silent Auction and Raffle, period. From the Miley Cyrus stretch pants to the signed Lebron jersey, there was no shortage of spectacular items to bid on in support of the worthy EAMC scholarship program. Did we mention the KISS hoodie? Rockin’.

5. Mary Meeker. You had to be there! 🙂
